Isis Candy tomato is an American heirloom variety originating from New Jersey, USA.It was developed and stabilized (fixed as a consistent open-pollinated strain) by Joe Bratka, a member of the Seed Savers Exchange (SSE). Bratka introduced it through the SSE yearbook in 1992.The variety resulted from a cross involving 'Marizol Purple' (one confirmed parent) and an unknown second parent. Over generations of selection, Bratka created this distinctive bi-color cherry tomato, named in honor of the ancient Egyptian goddess Isis.
