Whipcord Jack-in-the-Pulpit
Latin Name:
Arisaema tortuosumOut of stock
This perennial is native to the Himalayan Mountains, and this species may earn a place in your shade garden on pure character! One of the most bizarre exotic plants in the plant kingdom. As the leaves unfurl, the pitcher that tops the pseudostem opens to reveal a green Jack in the pulpit spathe, but with a whip like tongue that extends from the mouth of the spathe upwards to 12" or more.
