Dark Galaxy Tomato

Solanum lycopersicum Dark GalaxyUnripe fruits start off green with purple anthocynin slashes and purple spotting. As it ripens it turns a rusty red on the bottom and shades of black with spots and flecks that almost give it a 3 dimensional look. Dark Galaxy is a unique, mottled tomato, that looks like something from another planet.
The 'Dark Galaxy' tomato was cultivated by Brad Gates at Wild Boar Farms in California and came onto the market as a variety in 2014.
