Solanum lycopersicum Golden MonarchThese are a Heirloom tomato which is a Midseason, Regular Leafed, Indeterminate plant that produce yellow beefsteaks weighing from 10-14oz. The flavor of these wonderful fruits are more sweet than acidic. They make an excellent slicing, sandwich, salsa, and garnish tomato.
A variety listed by Buist in 1946. Seeds for this heirloom obtained by Craig Lehoullier from the USDA and shared with Carolyn Male for grow out. A vigorous, regular leaf plant that produces 10-14 oz., 3-inch, pale-yellow, flattened fruit. Occasionally some hint of pink at the blossom end. Good tomato flavor with sweetness balanced with just enough acidity.
